My name is Karen Schmautz and this is my photo gallery. I live in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe, CA. I live here with my husband, 2 children (the third has already flown the nest), 1 dog and 2 cats. We have forests and orchards and mountain streams and wineries and lakes all within a few minutes driving distance. I've been in love with photography for most of my life and this is my chance to show off some of the people and things that I find most interesting.
